The pediatric dentist

uses psychological techniques and special vocabulary to describe the treatment to the child.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]

During the child’s first appointment in our dental practice, parents have the chance to discuss with the pediatric dentist all the issues that concern them regarding their child’s oral health. At the same time, the doctor asks for all the necessary information about both the oral and the overall health of the little patient.

This gives the child the time to observe the examination area as well as the doctor, before she talks to him/her, without being the center of attention. This, by itself, is very relaxing for most of the children.

Then, the doctor uses special vocabulary to describe what will happen during the appointment, then shows how this is done and then applies the treatment.

The psychological techniques used, combined with the special configuration of the area (colors-toys-tools that are NOT visible) make the dental treatment simple and well accepted by the child.
