Children with severe phobia and anxiety who are unable to cooperate in the pediatric dental office are often candidates for treatment under general anesthesia.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]

These patients are usually very young children with or without a compromized medical history and need extensive dental treatment.

General anesthesia is also recommended for our patients with special needs.

Children who need general anesthesia are treated in a hospital, in collaboration with a specialized pediatric anesthesiologist.

All dental treatment is completed in the operating room under general anestesia in one visit. Once the treatment is complete, the child is transferred to the resuscitation area, where he/she can stay with his/her parents. Within a few hours, he/she is ready to leave the hospital.

Dental treatment with general anesthesia is performed at IASO Children’s Hospital.
